Pet Themes and Gadgets

by CatChic

My Cats Eyes iGoogle home page theme

I decided to use iGoogle as my default browser today; because, it looked like you could be quite creative with it, and easily change the look and interactive content on it whenever you wish.  Since my laptop display screen wallpaper is a cat theme, I decided to make my iGoogle homepage match.  What fun I had!

There were so many lovely animal themes to choose from for my home page, I had difficulty deciding which one to apply to my page.   In the iGoogle themes search bar, I typed in the word "cats" and  number of cat themes appeared.   I selected 'Cats Eyes', because the photo and colors were so lovely.

Next,  I played around with the many gadgets available.  I adopted a virtual panda for a pet, and had a little fun feeding her bamboo shoots, while I watched today's days video clip.  There were quite a few other animal gadgets that caught my eye..  'Animal Quotes' looked interesting...think I'll try that on my homepage next.

In order to have my iGoogle homepage open after startup,  I clicked "Tools", then "Options", and clicked "Open the home page" on startup.  I also typed in the URL of iGoogle beside "Open This Page".  I made Google the search engine and default browser, as well.  My internet browsing experience is now much more engaging with a customized 'kitty themed' homepage and  a virtual pet to play with.

Thanks to iGoogle, my passion for pets and computers is now intertwined.  I think all you 'furry people' out there would like it too; so, have a little fun and search up iGoogle and play for a while.  It's very user friendly, and I guarantee that if you do try it,  you will probably have more fun than you bargained for!

Cheers,
